I have the problem that the clothes I'm selling are really in great condition but don't get many bids or none and I don't think they are too expensive. Sure their not all Gymboree or whatever but they are in great shape as the people who have bought them say in the feedback yet someone who starts a bid at $25 with $40 for shipping gets a bid. How does that work? I just don't understand the thinking of some people.

Same thing happened to me. We had to change all of our passwords and everything. Luckly I relized what I did and changed everything before they had a chance to do any damage. Do Beware...They can clean you out....

I use to use ebay alot. Not as much lately. Some people charge outragious prices for shipping, I guess to compensate for the price of their item, I guess.

I always use my credit card when making a purchase, its safer that way. In case I run into a situation.

I now make a trip or 2 a week to the local thrift store and save myself the hassle.

Yes, I think Ebay is going downhill. There are too many unsavory characters (present company excluded, of course ) on there trying to move hot or shoddy items.

Two years ago, my dh's boss bought three laptops from Ebay for the company. Recently, one of the laptops developed problems, so dh's boss contacted Dell about fixing it. It turns out that it's a stolen laptop! Dh's company, Dell, and Ebay (I think they've been called into this) have been working now for two months trying to get this resolved. They still don't know if the other two laptops are hot.

I used to do a little Ebaying, but now I just donate stuff or sell it at the consignment stores. I may not make as much money, but at least I don't have to mess around with trying to sell it on Ebay.

I just purchased an edible picture of Darth Vader for my son's birthday cake. It was $6.25 and $2.99 for shipping. I received the item and it was only $.87 for shipping. So I left the seller a Neutral feedback rating and said that the item was as described and actual ahipping was .87 and I was charged $2.99. The seller left me a negative feedback today. I have been e-mailing her to explain that if she is going to inflate shipping then she needs to charge a handling charge. She totally went off on me.

So I would say yes, Ebay is going downhill.

This is constantly happening to me. The first one when I got it, I hadn't even been on ebay for months. I can't tell you how many emails I have gotten that it looks just like an official ebay email, but the message is saying that I didn't pay for something, one was a real mean one and said if I didn't pay and stop talking about that person that they were going to turn me into ebay.

I don't ever check through the link on the email, I log into ebay on another browser page and no new messages in my box...

I stopped purchasing from e-bay. I have had great results in the past about three years ago I started having trouble and stopped purchasing, I had trouble with a purchase of a camera with scratched lense, dishes that were broken and NEVER refunded or replaced! and clothing wiht spots, snags and play condition I just got tired of being overcharged and not having honest sellers and decided that I would purchase thing in person. I trust my own eyes and got tired of being nice because people may not have the same standards as me but they sure like my money! It's better to see things in person. It's the same at sales, people think the stuf they have is so awesome and walk you over and I think it's just junk with a tag! I used to get great wonderful childrens clothes on ebay and I LOVE baby lulu and used to buy it all the time but I just don't know. I have also had trouble with the sizes not being correct on ebay too.
