ok so i decided to sell some stuff on craigslist i have never done it before so i read all about it on the sight signed up for an acct and listed my stuff. so immedietly i start getting emails for my stuff. well for one paticular item i get and email the persons name is brian so we go back and forth well i was showing dh about it and he notices that its from two different brians they both are brian with a number and both are hotmail accts. ok i did not catch that. dh reads thru all the corispondance and says i can see how you thought they were they same person but they are not ugg i feel terrible so dh tells me i should email the 2nd brian explain i made a huge mistake and apologize up and down. wich i did. i just feel sick to my stomach that i made such a stupid mistake that i did not look closer and the back and forth talk was fairly vague that i did not catch it sooner. ugg so i have decided craigslist is not for me... has anyone ever done something like this.. i just feel absolutely horrible about the whole thing i even took my other stuff off so i don't have to worry about such a stupid thing happening again... i think i should just stick to consiegnment shops.... i just hope this guy is not totally ticked off.

It's an innocent mistake. You shouldn't let that stop you from listing again. Hope he's understanding.

thanks dh usually lists stuff and deals with it. i just thought i could do it myself. thought it would make me feel like i did something good.. so i guess if i really want to still sell stuff on there he would do it for me... i just hope i can sleep tonight now since i feel terrible and will be thinking about it all night ugg.

Honest mistake. What are the chances of 2 brians responding to an ad?! Did the first brian purchase your stuff? Dont let it get to you - it happens. Keep posting there. Its fun, im addicted to that site!

I post stuff on craigslist all the time, and I am just as addicted to craigslist as I am here, but don't let it get you down!! I have to handle all the techy type stuff for us, listing on ebay or craigslist b/c my DH gets too confused or frustrated and gives up....but just like everyone else has said don't let it get you down, we all make mistakes!! post your stuff, sell it and move along

thanks the 2nd brian (h) emailed me back and was very nice about the entire thing and said no problem people make mistakes.. that makes me feel alot better i was up half the night feeling bad i just did not like doing that to someone.. i did sell a total of 3 items that i did not screw up lol so that is good i guess. i think i will let dh deal with it though that ended up being way to much stress on me.
