my girlfriend has a stack of coupons she wants to sell on ebay. they're for child/infant tylenol, motrin stuff like that. i see that many other people sell these and then when i read the fine print on the coupon it says

"coupon void if altered, copied, sold, purchased, transferred, exchanged, taxed, restricted or prohibited by law"

so whats the deal? can she not sell them though the same ones are on ebay or is she reading too much into it?

Most of the coupons that I buy on ebay have a disclaimer in the auction. They usually say something like "these coupons are free, you are bidding on my time to collect and sort them". And I guess that makes the auction perfectly legal.

I was going to say the same thing. In the auction it usually states you are paying for the person's time to collect and send them.

I have also read some people say they are abiding by Ebay's rules concerning coupons, so they must have some somewhere.

I bought some Huggies ones, but haven't sold any.

Ebay has strict rules about selling coupons. It is totally against their rules BUT it is not against the rules to sell your time to collect them. You should see this in every coupon auction on ebay.

I have sold them before but it really wasn't worth my time, all you have to do is put
you are bidding on my time these coupons are free or you can put you are bidding on an envelope and for free inside that envelope you will find....

I always buy my coupons off Ebay. I never had a problem using them. The store doesn't ask you where you got them.

Ebay required that you limit the coupon auctions to 100 per auction. That makes it somewhat cost-prohobitive, as you will pay Ebay fees on each transaction and not on just one.
