I just shipped out my first 4 sales! Woohoo! This was exciting! Anyway I have been thinking of doing more sales. My question to you all is... Where do you get the items you put up for sale? Do you sell stuff you no longer use in your home? Do you sell stuff you bought at sale prices? Do you use a drop shipper? I have been looking at this drop shipper site trying to understand how it works. It's pretty confusing. Is it worth my while to do it? Any suggestions would be great. I am trying to earn some extra money so we can catch up on bills. Since DH was out of work for 2 months and he just started his new job we fell pretty behind. Thanks!!!!

First of all WAY TO GO!! Selling your first items is such a relief when selling online!

For me I am selling my parents stuff. They retired and moved up north into a smaller house and we are renting their house. They left most everything in the basement. They give us a certain amount for selling them and then I transfer the rest to their paypal.

I also go to flea markets and auctions more during the summer. I also sell the girls clothes when the youngest out grows them and some misc items.

I have never heard of a drop ship site? I do it the old fashion way at the post office.

When I feel the bills are slipping I usually try and put some things on too. Good luck with it. It can be a lot of fun!

WTG on your sales.

As for selling on ebay. I don't anymore but that's just because I don't buy used Gymboree anymore. We can't afford to. I went in way over my head with that awhile back. I did sell some custom things that I made and they sold pretty well I just couldn't swallow the fee's vs. what I was selling my products for.

I'm now a seller on etsy. I sell all handmade/homemade.

A good place to find items to sell is at Goodwill or Salvation Army. When I was serious into ebaying, I would frequent these places all the time. I made a ton, it can be done! Look for name brand clothes, kids clothes do the best. Look for toys NIP, and novelty items. Also do seasonal stuff, at Halloween sell costumes, at Christmas sell toys and Christmas outfits.

I wouldn't bother with a drop shipper. Keep your costs down as much as possible, do your own shipping. You can ship directly through paypal, and have boxes picked up at your house, you don't even need to go. Just click 'pick up' and go from there.
