I've done a charity auction before, its actually really easy to do. After Katrina, one of my groups decided to do a group auction. WE made a full halloween outfit with socks, bows, korkers, bling, bracelets, a cute shirt and ruffled loungepants. It went really well!

Anyone else ever do it before?

I have never done anything like this before but it is a really good idea!! Especially thru ebay, which has so much more exposure along with doing it locally.
How sad for this poor family. I could not imagine, it's wonderful they have friends to help.

Holy cow, there are over 1000 auctions now! What support for that family!

My girlfriend from my August due date board lost her husbad 2 days before christmas this past year. It was truly the saddest thing, I cried for a whole day for her. All of us as an online community put together a donation and a raffle. There was 10 prize packages, each worth more than $100 each! Between all the donations AND the raffle, they were able to give her more than $3000 to help with bills and start her new life. Such bonds we create on these boards. Its amazing.
