Help, I have a dilema. I am watching 2 pr of NWT Carters PJ's that have a bid of .99. The problem is, the shipping is 9.99. I know the seller is making sure they don't loose money and it would still be a good deal, but I don't think it is fair to charge such a high shipping fee. I'd like to bid on them, but I don't want to encourage that seller to charge the high shipping fee again. Does anyone understand my dilema? What would you do?

I wouldn't bid! How much could it cost to send such a lightweight pr. of pj's?? You could try and ask them if that shipping price is negotiable (such as sending media mail) if it comes down to the final few hours and nobody else has bid. You could probably get them for less at a Carter's store with a coupon from online somewhere! I hate that when you realllllly like something and the shipping is outrageous.

The seller is probably charging high shipping and low bidding so they don't get socked with a high seller fee - I know a couple of sellers that do that! Especially on gift cards.

Never thought about that. I haven't decided if I'll bid yet.

OMG we were just discussing this on another board. WELL as much as I HATE bidding on auctions with overinflated shipping, I might go ahead and bid on it. That would be $11 total? Still a pretty good deal for NWT Carters jammies.

But I try to make it a habit to NOT support ebay sellers that over inflate their shipping to pay their ebay and paypal fees. That is illegal and IMMORAL IMO. Ebay has a policy on it, but with all the price increases and the new paypal rule, people are charging WAY too much for shipping. It SUCKS.

Personally I wouldn't bid on it. The shipping is ridiculous.

You CANNOT send clothes meda mail! The PO is now checking packages, mine won't let you bring a mm parcel sealed becasue they want to check it before it gets sent. Too many people taking advantage of the cheap shipping. You can only send books, catalouges, videos and the like MM.

I wouldn't bid on it. It's ridiculous. Marshalls and TJ Maxx sell brand new Carter's PJs for about the same price, and sometimes less when you find them on clearance. Stick it to "the man"!
