SELLERS AGAINST OVERINFLATED SHIPPING PRICES!

I bet we get alot of people on our bandwagon! LOL Ebay isn't even so much of a deal anymore because TOO many people are overcharging shipping! And if you email them, you get the same lamea** excuse. "Ebay fees, paypal fees, gas, supplies, tape, envelopes, LUNCH, blah blah blah."

I once saw some a lot of clothes I think they were asking $25 starting bid and the shipping was $40! Someone actually was bidding on it, I couldn't believe it! We were selling a Tommy Hilfiger dress for $5 and we had the calculate shipping on there. Well someone emailed us that it came to $8 and something and were questioning our morals to charge that. Even at $13 it was a good deal but we realized that the calculator was way off so we started setting what ups charges. The reason we use ups is it is set up at my husband's work so we don't have to spend gas to drive to the post office plus we can track the package which is nice. The first pound is the most expensive but in the long run it isn't much more expensive than what I see people charging for regular mail. Plus the post office has lost a lot of packages for my inlaws business where ups has always been good. I agree though, some people are ripping people off so badly but people are still bidding but I can barely give it away! Go figure!

UPS will come to your home and pick up, also, so you don't even need to use it at work. Just get a scale. Their website can help w/that.

USPS picks up too! I never leave my house to ship! I just sign up for the carrier pick up and print the labels off Paypal

As far as the over charging of shipping costs, it will never change! I bought a lot of 30 pieces, sizes 6-12 and 12-18! Shipping was $25! We'll see when I get it and how much she paid! I will throw a fit if it was less than $25!

I never charge more than what it will cost me to ship! I think it s just wrong, and will even refund if you paid more!

I usually end up cheating myself on shipping because I guess...LOL I don't use the calculator, it's usually not right. I can re-use boxes or order free shipping materials from USPS and you can also request the pickup like Amanda mentioned...so there's really no reason for the shipping overcharge except that they're trying to make up the price difference of what the get and what they HOPE to get. IF for some reason I have to purchase shipping supplies (like mailers to ship odd shaped things in like scrapbook paper or something), I DO tag that onto the shipping price.

You KNOW it's gonna be!! If she were wise, she'd use two separate flat rate boxes...I'm almost sure I could cram 30 pieces of baby clothing into two flat rate boxes unless they were big poofy dresses or something of the sort!

I wish no one would bid on everinflated shipping. I always calculate, but I don't have a scale so I weigh myself on my bathroom scale and then weigh myself with the box to get a weight and then I add a little bit just to be safe. I am usually really close. Sometimes I have been below what I charge, but thne I usually just ship priority and it is about right. I mostly sell lots of clothes and I think 15 is the most I have ever had to pay for shipping

What I'm saying is bidders need to stop suporting sellers that overinflate thier shipping to cover their fees. Their fees are NOT my problem, they know what it costs to list on ebay, that is the price you pay. There is NO need for a seller to charge $10 shipping on a $1 shirt to protect themselves from 'losing money'

I was just joking around, but it would be a good idea to put it your auctions that you would NEVER inflate your shipping like OTHER sellers. LOL We could be a group, the Sellers Against Overinflated shipping SAOS, hahaha, we keywords spam and just make everyone aware!
