As far as having a difficult buyer who leaves negative feedback, then bids on and wins more of your auctions so they can leave more negative feedback-- can't you still just block certain buyers from bidding on your auctions? We've had a very small number of problem buyers and we've just added them to our blocked bidders list. Let them go hassle someone else.

Did the seller of the suitcase have anywhere in the auction or anywhere in his store that his sales are on vacation? If he did I would not neg because he wrote that it was on vacation.

If there is nothing like that I would contact the seller with your concerns and then you can choose to neg him if you want.

He should ship in a reasonable time and should not punish you. If he wasn't going to be shipping then he should have closed his store in my opinion

The second suitcase I purchased already arrived - exactly on the day promised. No replies from the first seller. All I get is a message that says that they aren't responding until after 02/24. No mention of the 'vacation' on the item page.

Ok, so if this seller isn't responding until the 24th due to the boycott, then why did he even list the suitcase? Or was it already listed when the boycott started? Either way, if you list something, you shoud send it. It isn't fair to boycott on things you have already listed. I was thinking about starting to sell on Ebay to earn extra money, but have changed my mind now. Plus, all my paypal money I have earned(through surveys) use to go to ebay, and now it will go towards makeup, thanks to the new makeup company that was posted.

Due to paypal and ebay I was finding it harder and harder to make any money anyway. I am done with them and am going to check out Craig's list.

Craiglist is not in my area. I know I could list under the nearest, city, but it is not close enough to want to hassle with. I have voted for them to put one in my city twice now, and several other people have too, but they still haven't added one.
I am going to miss browsing ebay for books and clothes.

Oh this is getting confusing ...

The first suitcase was a red one. That wasn't the first choice color but I figured if hubby didn't like it, I could definately use it. This is the seller that said they weren't responding to messages until 02/24.

The second suitcase was black.

I heard from the black suitcase seller and they said it would be delivered on 02/22. That's what I thought was in the box.

Hubby opened the box today. It was the red suitcase! On top of it, I got an e-mail from the seller saying they don't know why the product hasn't shipped yet, they'll get right on it. Huh? Apparently it shipped. It's sitting in my bedroom.

Now I have to hunt down the black suitcase seller and figure out what is going on.
