I read this in my daily gymbohaven newsletter:

What's New!

A lot of ladies have asked for an update for the Ebay Strike - this is what I have found out so far.

Written by Auctionbytes.com 2/26 - Sellers who say they are encouraged by the media attention garnered by the February 18 - 25 boycott of eBay have proposed extending the boycott by a week. But it's uncertain whether participants are aware of the extension or are prepared to participate.
Reporters are having a difficult time judging the success of the boycott thus far- some say listings are down, others say there's been no effect. But the fact that so many of them are even attempting to measure the impact is unusual, and the depth of reporting has been deeper than coverage of past strikes. Some reporters seem particularly intrigued with the fact that a new CEO is taking the reigns during the turbulence - John Donahoe officially replaces longtime CEO Meg Whitman on March 31st.

While eBay's new fees went into effect on February 20th, it is the company's changes to feedback that have sellers most fired up, according to an AuctionBytes survey (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abu/...2/abu0209/s03). eBay is taking away sellers' ability to leave buyers negative or neutral feedback ratings - and that change won't roll out for another 2 months.

I haven't used Ebay at all lately. At first I said I can't boycott, it brings in significant extra money that we need, but I've decided to leave ebay alone for a while, I haven't left feedback, I haven't logged in I'm even postponing paying my fee's right now..... I want NOTHING to do with them at the moment.

I was talking to my husaband about this last night. He wanted me to list some stuff so we can get it out of here and make a little money while doing so. But I told him no. I will find another way to do it. I don't want anything to do with them at the moment either.

My dh was reading an article (forgive me, I don't know the source) about the strike that says it has had virtually no impact at all. He has still been using Ebay as usual.

I believe too many people are thinking this way and thats why its not effective. Most people believe that the strike will do no good at all anyway, so they keep business as usual.

I just asked my husband about this, he is on ebay several hours a day bidding and selling. He knew nothing about a strike, but said, "That explains why my stuff isn't getting bid on." hehe

This was a topic on CNN a few days ago, well it may have been a week or so, but the CEO or whoever it was from eBay said the strike hasn't had any effect on buying or selling.

Doing a strike isn't going to make them change their minds! They are in it for the money, as we all can tell by the fees!

I had no idea until now, but I haven't been on there recently because of lack of funds and nothing to sell.
