I sold my daughter's winter jacket on ebay and the auction ended 2 weeks ago. I have not received any emails or payment from the buyer. I do not accept paypal so I am waiting for payment through the mail. I sent her the invoice the day the auction ended and have followed up with 2 emails and have had no response from her. How long should I give her before I report her as a nonpaying bidder? Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Does it state in your auction how soon payment or contact should be made?

No, I didn't state a timeframe in my auction. I am pretty new to listing items and still learning a lot.

I would send out another note...and state that according to ebay policies, she must contact you within a ten day period..and since you have not heard from her, she has until (and name a time/date) to contact you letting you know how and when payment was sent. If she doesn't by then, I would then file a non paying bidder alert...and let ebay fight it from there!!

I would also state in all your auctions that payment or contact is expected within so many days or negative feedback will be left and item relisted. A note, I always give my buyers 7 days or contact on my listings. If I do end up with a problem, I usually string it out about 3 weeks before actually taking action. It depends on the individual situation. Good Luck and hope your payments shows soon....

IMO you have already waited too long. Email them and tell you want a payment or a response by a certain date or you will be reporting them with a NPB alert. Sometiems too just starting a NPB alert gets them off their duff and get moving.

This is why I only accept paypal! Set yourself up a paypal account and only accept paypal within 3 days of auction end is what I put in my auctions. email her one more time, no response, file with ebay

Pay Pal is the best for both buyer and seller. She may not have noticed that you didn't accept pay pal and may not feel safe about buying from a seller that doesn't. I would email her again, explain that you are a new seller and ask her to be straight with you- want it yes or no? Good luck, and please get a pay pal accout, it will protect you as well as the buyer.
