I have a LOT of Polly Pockets on there now. No bids, 8 watchers, still 4 days to go.

Polly Pockets Disney Huge LOT - eBay (item 300205314855 end time Mar-14-08 18:52:07 PDT)

Now someone is asking to add a buy it now.

What are you feeling on this? It has happened several times, usually with stuff my DH is selling, so sometimes he adds it and sometimes not.

We added it to a coat of my daughters I sold, the lady did not do the buy it now, or even bid. And it sold for $7 less than my buy it now.

I just wonder if adding it jinxes me!

Any suggestions?

I have sold a few things with buy it now, but I listed them with only buy it now. They were things that I had watched, knew had some demand, limited availability and I listed with a good, fair price...... which was at the low end of the ones we had seen. Our logic was we would rather sell it with less hassle than try to be greedy.

I don't think I would add it to a listing for something that may be more easily available.

Hi. If you are willing to take a chance that you might lose the money that it cost to post the buy it now option I recommend doing it. As a buyer on ebay, I like the option. Sometimes I don't want to wait for the auction to end and risk being outbid, sometimes I plan on bidding at the last minute and then get side tracked and forget until it is too late and the auction has already ended. I hope this helps.

If you have been burned, then I wouldn't do it.

I've done it, depending on the auction. If its only a few $$s and it doesn't matter to me, then I would go ahead and add it. If I KNOW the auction will go way more than the person is suggesting for a BIN, no way would I add it.

Do you have bids?? I know you can't add it if you already have bids on it.
