OMG, I just have to vent about my recent purchase: I won an auction for a boys pair of overalls. The description said EUC with no signs of wear. I paid about $7.50 total and was quite excited to get Oshkosh overalls for that. When I received them I checked them for rips, stains etc... as I always do before leaving feedback. Well, there was a hole wearing in the back and the straps were starting to fray as well as the cuffs. I emailed the seller and asked for a partial refund due to the signs of wear that were not disclosed. She quite rudely emailed back, said she saw no signs of wear and I could mail them back (at my cost) for a refund. I checked her feedback more closely and discovered that she is viscious with leaving feedback! She even left a neg for someone who had left her a pos with a statemnet about a small stain! I fianlly told her I would keep them because the transaction was going to cost me one way or the other. I will not leave her feedback unless she leaves me neg, then I will leave neg and file a complaint!!

What has happned to the majority that used to be honest. It seems like we are now the minority? I hesitate now about buying or selling. I even took a good bit of clothes to the consignment shop and took a big hit because I didn't want to mess with the "crazies" on Ebay!

I'm sorry that happened to you. Most of the sellers are honest, but there's always someone that has to ruin it for everyone!

It's too bad because I think there are really honest people out there, it is the people like this that make it hard for everyone. I think I tend to be very critical when I describe the clothes I sell and I could see making a mistake (which I have done), but I would definetly pay to return them and issue a refund. I think your request for a partial refund was very reasonable.

If I were you, I definately would leave negative feedback as other people will be bidding on her things. This way you can stop others from making the same mistake you did in buying something from her to begin with. It really is too bad that you had that happen. I am just starting to sell things on ebay and have been finding it to be a good experience.
Good luck with what you decide to do.

I would leave her negative feedback. Who cares if she leaves you negative in return? You can also point out her other negative feedback in your repsonse.

You need to do this to help other buyers who might be misled by her. One negative is not going to hurt you. JMO

You all are right re leaving neg feedback. I'll think about leaving it. I do want to warn other ebayers about this seller. We do sell from time to time and that is the only reason I am concerned about neg feedback for us. I know smart ebayers would read it and understand, but I don't want to scare off any potential customers.

I'm going to think long and hard about leaving neg feedback. Maybe DH can help me decide, afterall, he uses the account more than I do!
