Yeah. Never click onto a link in an email from ebay or Paypal. They're just phishing. They keep trying to come up with new ways to scam us. I get emails all the time telling me I haven't paid for something I bought on ebay, or that my payment is bad or that my account has been frozen. Ummm. I don't even use ebay.

Paypal will NEVER give you a link. They would tell you to log into your paypal account if something were really wrong. Never click on those links or it could be trouble.

Yes, I get those all the time. They're trying to get your ebay password so they can get into your account. I always just forward them to ebay. They have told me they will contact via links on your homepage if they have something to tell you. So NEVER click on one of those links or enter your password for them. HTH

I have gotten 2 of those recently saying I bought a cell phone for over $400. They only want credit card information so I ignore them. I know that I did not buy this nor did my dh and it did not ask me to lag into paypal. How do I contact paypal to let them know?

Contact PayPal to let them know what? You can forward the email you got to PayPal to their spoof/fraud/phishing dept.

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...-spoof-outside

If you don't choose to let PayPal know, it's not going to affect your account with PayPal at all. The email you rec'd wasn't sent by PayPal, you didn't purchase the item in question, you didn't owe the money or pay the money...kwim?

Yes, I practically send a fake email to spoofs@paypal.com every day! Those scammers don't give up easily. One time somebody did get into my account for real, but paypal caught them. Be careful to close out your browser after you log off of pay pal and ebay.

I get these and ones from "ebay" every week! Don't worry! As long as you don't click on any links in their emails your fine!

I have a paypal and ebay account, but after reading this.. my trust is questioned. Do you have your paypal account set up with your credit/debit card or bank account? Which is the best (safest)?

That is weird, I would have been freaking out too.
