I have recently had different people asking me to sell on ebay for them and them offering to pay me 25-30%. I have only sold less than five times, mostly my kids clothes but bought mutiple times. For instance one older gentleman, we stopped at his estate sale down the road from us on Saturday and my dh told him I sold on ebay. Anyway this man was like I have been trying to find someone to sell my antiques on ebay but couldn't find anyone would you be interested? So I am like let me get your info and I'll think about it and get back to you.
Do you think this would we worth it for me? Just wanted your opinions and wondered if any of you do this. Thanks.

Hello, I sell for family and friends on ebay. I have some great success and some not so great success. I charge 25% of the price. Just some info about this. Make sure you do not overlook all the ebay listing fees, selling fees and paypal fees. I charge them for those or you could negociate a split of some type. I also charge them for fees if an item does not sell and I split the supply fee when I go buy packing tape, bubble wrap ect....You will have to find what works best for you. If you would like, PM me. I have lots of info on this and would be happy to share.

I sold some clothing for my friends aunt and while I didn't mind doing it, I worried about everything so I only took 10% of the profit but I deserved a lot more! This aunt later wanted me to sell some jewelry but I was really uncomfortable taking on something so valuable. Make sure you set some ground rules to protect yourself. If you sell antiques for that gentleman, try to get as much information about the pieces as possible and the minimum amount he will take for that item. Good luck!

I sell sometimes for other people. I charge 10% of the ending price, plus they cover my ebay & paypal fees. I have them sign a waiver that says if the buyer files a dispute and paypal takes the money back, they have to give me the money back.

I use an Excel spreadsheet with the item name & number, ending price, ebay & paypal fees and my 10% and the amount I pay out to them. I have them sign & date the waiver at the bottom of the sheet.
