Latest Blog Entry: What a productive weekend!
I just bought the last needed happy holidays barbie 1988 to finish out my daughters collectable set. I just need to buy each doll now
until she is 21. Right now she all from 1988 to present. Wow, that is all I have to leave her. I hope it is worth something when I am long gone.

Just had to share the joy!

If the first HH Barbie is worth $500 I got the real deal. I have been waiting a long time to see when the upswing would go back down. It happens on ebay. The price of things is very high then they back down again to normal or lower. I bought this doll NRFB for under $200. Just having the set complete was such a good feeling. I give her a doll each Christmas and she is so good about knowing they just get wrapped up and put away.

I hope they are worth something when I die. Does anyone else collect?

I do not collect the HH Barbies...my SIL used to and then several years ago she sold them on ebay. I wonder if I started it for my daughter due in Oct. if it would ever be worth anything. To be truthfull, I didn't know they did them anymore. I remember when it used to be a big deal and people would fight about getting the dolls in stores.

I remember moving out west and tell my boyfriend at the time he could only come out if he brought the barbie for that year.

Now, they are everywhere.

Yes, you will make money in the end if you buy them cheap each year on ebay. I wait until about now and get last years HH Barbie for a few dollars or get it at toy R us for half price. Then I just wrap it up in white tissue paper and put them in mom's food storage room. It is all I can leave for my daughter.
