Astilbes prefer shade to partially shaded areas, so they are
an ideal solution for those problem spots where you thought
nothing else would grow. In fact, Astilbes are a mainstay of
any well-designed shade garden. Try planting them with hostas,
hardy geraniums and other shade-loving perennials such as
ferns, bleeding hearts, lily of the valley or forget-me-nots.
You'll be amazed with the bright, exciting results!
Use Astilbes for: shade gardens, borders, mass plantings,
woodland gardens, waterside plantings, porch or patio containers,
cut-and-dried flower arrangements - just about anywhere you want!
My mother has these planted in partial sun and full shade, and they really are beautiful.
