I just found a great deal on the Leapster L-Max at Circuit City for $49.99 ONLY which is a $40 saving. But it's only for in-store pick up.

Does anyone know if the Lmax is sturdier and more durable than the regular Leapster?

My 4 year old has a regular Leapster but after hitting the floor once, the sensors seem to have shifted. I am wondering if it is worth it to upgrade to Lmax...

The only difference that I think is between the Lmax & Leapster is the Lmax can be hooked up to the tv which is a feature we do not even use. You can use both the Lmax and the Leapster games on the Lmax but the Original Leapster can not play the Lmax games.
At this price I would go for the Lmax! Ours has been dropped to many times to count and thrown on the floor you name it And luckily its still going strong!
