I am a huge couponer...I never shop without ,and I always shop on Wednesdays,at my local store Wednesday is also senior day...as I am shopping I like to go through the store and give them coupons for things I see in their buggies...you would NOT believe the reaction...most are so greatful. Most don't get out very often so it's nice<i think anyway>that if they only get out once a week to go grocery shopping of all things ,at least someone did something nice for them.

My mom used to do this when I was a kid. I was so embarrassed. However, she called herself the coupon fairy. Now when I go to the store I do the same thing..... especially when I have $10 off $80 or something like that that expires that day or the next. I look at the person behind me and ask are they going to spend this amount. They sometimes say yes and sometimes say no. If they say yes I ask them if they would like the coupon .... I say I can't use it ..... they are surprised at the coupon and the free money. If they say no I walk by the cash registers and see if I can find a mom/dad with kids to help out.

I do that too! The older people especially really appreciate it!

We've done this once or twice with coupons that we decided not to use, when someone else was shopping in the same aisle. I'll also leave coupons on the shelf next to the product, especially if it's one that expires soon.

I was lucky enough to find some formula coupons that someone else had left on the shelf, too.

don't forget to do this at restaurants/fast food also. I just gave someone a $10.00 one I printed off here for Timberlodge. I printed off a couple b/c I was going to give it to my sister but she didn't need it. They were very happy to save $10.00!!

I cut practically every coupon from the Sunday paper, even if we won't use it. Some I give to my sister or mother.

The others that we won't use, I take to the library. Ours has a little coupon box in the lobby, on a table with the library notices and free newspapers. I've also found some coupons there that we would use. This weekend, I dropped off a handful, and found some Gerber coupons right on the top. (And they were better coupons than the ones Gerber mails to me. We get $1 off of 8 jars of baby food, and one of the coupons I found was for $1 off 3 jars.)
