A few years ago after having baby #4, we had a rather rough time with the baby being fussy and colicky. To add to the stress of a new baby we weathered an awful cold and flu season at our house, it seemed like one of the 2 school aged kids was staying home at least once a week. My next door neighbor was always observant if one or none of the boys' did not get on bus. She would call to see how we were and if she could run into town to get anything( groceries, meds etc.) for us( we live in the country). It was wonderful to know that someone else was concerned about us and willing to help out especially since DH had started a new job and unable to take vacation to help out!!!
