whenever I am walking out and about and if I see a meter about to expire or expired I will put a spare quarter in the meter. I actually did save someone from a ticket one.

This is a great idea, but be careful, I remember years ago the police tried to arrest a man because he would walk up and down the streets of downtown putting change into expired meters. Don't ask me what the charge was, but I guess it ticked them off because they couldn't issue as many tickets and make that extra money.

LOL! I saw an episode of Dharma and Greg where she was doing this and the cop started writing her tickets.

I still think its a nice idea. I usually put a little extra in my meter if its a busy area and someone is going to pull in after me.
