I often see parents, grand parents struggling in a mall, or the local pool, trying to take pictures of their family. The one thing that always stands out is how only part of the family will be in the picture.,,,,cause someone has to take the picture! Whenever I see this happening, I offer to take a group photo for them.

I've done it infront of a fountain, in the kiddy pool, and most recently at the hair dressers!

At the hair dressers it was the little girls first haircut but the Mom had forgotten her camera. Since I seem to take mine everywhere I offered to take some shots and email them to her. She was thrilled.

During the same visit (my son was still getting his locks cut), there was a little boy just beside himself with tears. Again I offered to take some pics, and thankfully the little guy calmed right down. Mom was thrilled to get the pics via email.

Total cost: Zippo, nadda, zilch.
Payback?: Knowing that important times have been captured for years to come.

This is a good one. I always carry my camera with me so it would be easy to do.

While dh and I were in Hawaii I saw this young couple taking turns taking pictures. One would stand in front of the view and the other would snap the pic then they would switch. I offered to take their picture for them and they were so happy. I know how hard it can be when there are only 2 of you and so atleast I know they had one picture with both of them from their vacation.
