During the holidays there was a rush on a particular brand of video game....you probably know the one!

I reallllly wanted one for myself, so when I heard a chain of stores was getting some in, I rushed to the mall at 6:00 a.m.

When I arrived I found out that the store only had 3, and there were 3 people in line. One person had been there since 10:00pm the night before, and the others since 3:00am.

These folks were desperate to get it for their children for Christmas and since I was only in it for myself, wished them luck and was on my way. After leaving, I couldn't get out of my mind how these parents were willing to stand in the cold (and it was a cold Ontario night) just to see the smiles on their kids faces.

Ok to get to the point......I drove to Tim Horton's, bough 2 hot chocolates, and 2 coffees, a box of donuts and drove back to the store. I got out, handed them to the small group and wished them a Merry Christmas. I think I caught them off guard and just told them to do the same for someone else in the future.

I ended up feeling good, although that wasn't the point....they were a little warmer while waiting for the store to open....and their kids would have smiles ear to ear on Christmas morning.

That gave me goosebumps! So sweet. I can't imagine how they were happily surprised.

That's such a beautiful story. I hope some writes about you in The Toronto Star. I love that section. http://www.thestar.com/ActsKindness/article/124892
