my Mom and Dad live now in the neighborhood my dad grew up in and alot of the people on their block are elderly...so my Mom and I take meals over alot to them.

You would be surprised how much this can do for them...especially in the dead of winter when they cant get out much,and also how far they can make it go.What you might consider just a fair sized tupperware of soup will last them 2-3 days.Take along an old magazine with it...and I assure you the look on their face will have been worth the walk over.
