When you are making a casserole or soup for dinner, it is easy to make enough to deliver to someone else the next day such as a new mom after the just-home-from-the-hospital help has dwindled out, or your neighbor who has been working horrendous hours, or an elderly neighbor who may not always feel like making the effort.
When a mom has a second or third baby, arrange a playdate with the older child which she doesn't have to attend, or swoop in and hang out and give that older child attention while she attends to the baby.
Help out in the neighborhood by picking up the debris that inevitably is floating around after trash day, or roll your neighbors trash cans back up the drive for them.
