Want to help someone out and pay it forward for the life you've been blessed with? Go volunteer somewhere. it doesn't have to be big, although it could be. Habitat for Humanity, for instance, is a fantastic organization that builds homes for families in need. You can join building teams for a day, a week, or on a regular basis. Groups from work or school can make team-building activities out of it, or even entire school trips.

On a smaller scale, volunteer in the local library, or help a child learn to read. Or volunteer an hour a week helping adults learn to read, or even to learn English. America is an immigrant culture with plenty of newcomers wanting to learn and needing the help to gain the confidence it will take to get jobs, bank accounts, etc.

Change a life by giving an hour a week - think of how much you would appreciate that if you were in their shoes!!
