Freebie items and samples are perfect to put into Samaritan's Shoeboxes or to donate to pregnancy crisis shelters and/or women's abuse shelters. I also give samples and/or freebies to friends and family who travel quite a bit and will definatley use them. You can pass along something that was free to begin with.

Great idea donating to crisis centers!!!

I also put them in care packages that I send to my fellow soldiers/marines/sailors overseas, they like getting things that are small in size, and they can use them definetly.... I know when I was deployed in 2005 I loved getting packages with things like that!

I donate most of them to the Nursing home that i work with or the one that my dad is in. They get used for Bingo or i just give them to the people who i know either don't have families that can or will buy things for them. I also clean for a few ladies that give me their magazines, make-up samples ( like Clinque, Mary kay etc..) and i pass them along has well. I have taken things up that i have recieved for Christmas/ gifts and knew i would never use ( socks, slippers, hair clips, soaps, perfume) they all get used and everyone loves all the things that i bring!

Yes! My husband and I took a class a few years ago because we were thinking about becoming HIV/AIDS educators & one of the reps from a local AIDS assistance group told us they welcome things like travel soaps, shampoos, creams because once a month they walk the streets of a nearby city looking for homeless people who may need tested for HIV/AIDS and they hand out the samples--I thought it was a great idea!! Nursing homes appreciate those sorts of things too.
