My husband gets tons of magazines delivered to the house. When he is done with them the magazines end up in the trash. Recently this has changed. My father drives bus and also takes people to appointments. He takes a man to the doctor every week and this man told my dad that after his expenses he only has $5.00 left over for the month for personal use. This man lives in a nursing home as he has no where else to live. Well, my father found out he loves politics and sports. My husband gets 3 sports magazines and 5 political magazines each week. We have started to save them for this man. My father just told me last week that he was overjoyed when he got his first bag of magazines. I am so glad that such a small thing can make a huge difference for someone. Each week now the man looks forward to my father picking him up because he knows there will be a bag of magazines in the van waiting for him. What really touched my heart was my father forgot the second week and the man said, "that is OK I've already read them 3 times I can read them a few more times until next week." I'm glad I can make a difference.

Great post.
