I work for a hotel that has 89 suites and as a courtesy we deliver the USA Today to each of them to the door each morning. The man that delivers these recently found out that he has an inoperable tumor on his pituitary gland and it causes him extreme nausea as well as dizziness, in addition to other complications. When I heard of his illness, I decided that I would take the list of rooms and deliver the papers to the individual rooms to save him the time and energy that it requires to place them at the various rooms on 4 floors. He had tears in his eyes when I suggested that I help him, and the card that he gave me Valentines Day touches me everytime I read it... He stops occaisionally and picks a flower for me, or will write a special note.. and I save him cookie from the ones we make each evening It closes my shift with a smile each morning to know that it may have made his morning a little easier.
