My girls (2 & 4) make cards for holidays for the people in nursing homes. I get prefolded cards, markers, stickers, glitter, pom poms, scissors, glue, etc... and every day when the girls do art I have them each make a card or two (specific to the holiday via the theme of the stickers, etc...) and when it gets close to the holiday I take them (the girls) and the cards to the nursing homes to pass them out - some people need color on their walls!

I have to say that this is a great idea. I tried to do this with my neice but couldn't get her excited about it. I hope to do this with my kids when they are old enough. You never know, that may be the only holiday card they get.
