Our local babysitting co-op has a program each year where we each bring five toys (in good condition) to someone's house on a set date. Then we are eligible to exchange two toys from the collective bunch and the leftovers (all in great condition) go to a local domestic violence women's shelter.

The kids are always so happy to have new toys and in the process we teach our kids about giving.

Many moms bring above and beyond five toys, lots of books and sometimes new stuff.
