I have been growing my hair long for the past 21 years. I stopped getting my usual short to medium length regular haircuts when my daughter was born. At first I didn't have the time and then I felt it was a frivolous expense I could eliminate. I get the ends trimmed when needed sometimes by a friend or family. Now that my youngest child is 17 and I have a 4 month old grandson who loves to yank my long hair I am finally going to get my hair cut today! There is a chairty in the area that accepts donations of long hair that's been cut, it's called Locks Of Love. I plan to donate my 2 foot long ponytail to the charity so that it can be used to ake a wig for a child who has lost their hair due to Chemotherapy. I'm really excited to do this for many reasons. I am a nurse who works with Medicacally Fragile children who live at home so I see these kids routinely.
