As I was driving home from getting my Angel Food Saturday I got an idea to donate any unwanted items back to the Ministry to distribute to the needy families they serve or put into their food bank. I emailed the contact person and described my idea. I received a reply an hour later thanking me for the suggestion. He said they were definitely going to implement it into the next distribution. I decided even if I want everything in the box I am going to find at least one thing I can part with and donate it.

Last year my sister-in-law's family picked a family to donate to instead of buying Christmas presents for each other. They went to the food pantry and asked for the names of a family and then each person bought a gift card for the amount they would normally spend on Christmas to a different place. They didn't exchange any presents with each other but imagine how that family felt!! They wanted to gift them in person but the husband was a little embarassed so they just passed them through the food pantry worker.
