I try to pay it forward just about every day. I have, several times, puchased the meal for the person behind me in the drive-thru and asked that they tell the person to have a great day and pay it forward; I have done little things like donated things to our church nursery and to the school. We are constantly participating in coat and mitten drives at school and at church.
One other thing I just did - I have a good friend who was home on bedrest before having her twins - my daughter and I went over two weekends in a row to clean her house for her - do laundry, dust, take down her holiday decorations; do dishes, etc. She had so many things that she just didn't have the energy to do and even though I had the same things to do at my house; it was such a little thing to put off my stuff and go make her day - she was thrilled and it was such a stress reliever for her. Amazing how just a little time can make someone so happy... then after the work is done we get to sit and talk too; some much needed catching up time.
