I'm so disappointed with the comments made on the blog for the newspaper article. I hope none of their kids, grandkids, friends kids, etc get this. People are so shallow sometimes it amazes me. One death is too many and not a joke!
CheesecakeLady, I felt the same on the comments....I got down to the one saying what's a few days of however he described the problem, and said this is ridiculous and stopped reading the rest, after I saw there were 5 responses to his comment. People are weird.

I bought Clif bars from Costco a few months ago, and today Costco called me to alert me about the recall. Sounds like they're looking up members' buying histories and calling anyone who may have purchased them.
I bought them for a soccer team treat, so they've long since been consumed . . . and no one got sick, so I guess we're good. Just really impressed that Costco called me.

I heard on the news today that this plant knew they had peanut butter tested positive for salmonella 2 years ago and packaged it anyways. Plus they found cockroaches, mold and leaking roof at the plant. If they knew and sent it anyways then they should be charged in the deaths.
Great News! Quaker products are not affected by this. They state they do not buy from this company or have any connection to it in their sources. I can now feed my kids the Quaker Granola Bites I've been holding off on!
