Has anyone tried the new things that are out that are detergent/fabric softener and dryer sheet all in one? My though of it seems too good to be true...so it most likely is. BUT if anyone knows it is the MOMMYSAVERS! Looking forward to hearing what you have to say! I looked at them at Target (??) and they take up very little space...liking that!!

I have!

I bought a pack for $5 at Kmart, but I had a coupon for $1 off. So I got 20/$4

I like the fact that you threw a sheet in at the beginning, and then transferred clothes and sheet to the dryer. No remembering to run and put fabric softener in the rinse cycle. Or having to remember to add a dryer sheet.

The down side was that with dh clothes that he wears when he works on the old cars, didn't come as clean as they do with normal detergent. Also I like a good bit of suds, for some of my loads of laundry, and these really didn't have many.

If you buy detergent and fabric softener or dryer sheets, it is ok room wise. But house brand detergent or some name brand on sale or with coupons and vinegar for the rinse cycle, is still a better deal, for the cost. IMO

I haven't used them, but two people have highly recommended them to me. The only reason I haven't tried them yet is that they don't seem to have a "free" version. I use All Free and Bounce Free due to skin sensitivities and allergies in my family.

You can use vinegar in place of fabric softener

They actually have one called Pure & Clean. I know someone who is using it that is allergic to EVERYTHING and she has had no problems so far. I actually work for Dial, so this is a shameless plug for me. I don't get anything free anymore though, so I did have to go out and buy the 3-in-1s (I go for the Tropical Escape). I agree that it doesn't get the smelly, dirty guy work clothes as clean as actual detergent, but it is working great for mine and ds clothes.

Thanks. This is the Purex brand, right? I saw an ad on TV last night for them. (A Billy Mays ad showed, too - it's hard to pull ads at the last minute.)

i think these sheets are amazing! i am very particular about my laundry, and these are great. my SO can actually do laundry now. i like not having to measure the detergent, and when i use them there are plenty of suds. for my work clothes and SO's dirty car clothes i still use arm and hammer powder detergent. but instead of using knock off snuggle fabric softner i use those new 2 in 1 sheets. the lavender vanilla is the most amazing smell. after i use them i tuck them in my pillow cases i am thinking of switching perminatly to the purex sheets. takes up less space, more enviromentally friendly, and its a lot easier than lugging around giant detergent boxes or bottles from the store

Yup, the Purex 3-in-1 is what I'm talking about. Not sure if there is another brand with a similar product?

Has anyone used this with soft water? I'm concerned about overdoing it on the detergent (as it seems to be one size fits all), which would make rinsing all the soap out difficult.
