Tuesday night dh started on redoing our Bathroom.

He took out the toilet and the vanity and floors. He finished installing the floors Tuesday night. Last night he started putting the vanity and sink in. The sink had a big chunk out of the bottom in the back. But after he put in on the vanity, you couldn't tell in. So no big deal.

Then he started installing the toilet. First the wax seal wasn't in the box. But we had a brand new one in the garage so he put it on. Then he installed the toilet and went to put the seat on and the seat was broke. It came with the toilet.

So this morning I had to go back to Lowe's and get a seat. At first they said that it was sold together so I needed to bring in the toilet. I told them "I didn't think so".

Finally after speaking to the manager and showing her where we bought the stuff Monday and spending over $600 for a toilet, vanity and sink, (we already had purchase the flooring).

She agree just to give us a seat out of another toilet box.

I have never had problems with Lowes not had problems returning items even months later. I am glad you worked it out. I would have asked for a gift card for the trouble though.

I am wondering if it is a big problem with their supplier. Our bathroom mirror broke about 2 years ago and we bought a 3 door medicine cabinet with a mirror from them. He took the pieces out of the box and the doors weren't there at all. We went back and they got us doors out of another box. The doors were in a smaller box that was shut so when we got home and opened it 2 of the pieces of glass were broken. We finally got it put together but it does make them look bad if everyone has that much trouble.

We had bought a lamp from Lowes (matching set) and one of the kids knocked it down shattered it, I only went in to see if I could find the same they ordered me one and didn't charge me, I even told them it was our fault. I can't imagine that ever happening anywhere. It was a brand new store at the time but still WHOO hoo!!!

I have never had a problem at lowes, they have always been very good.

I think it depends on who you talk to in the store ( all stores ).... whenever I ask for a manager, and a 12 year old comes in.... I think "ah crap" cause they always know it all and know nothing! :-)

I was 8 months preg 2 yrs ago and was made to wait and wait in the hot sun for this kid to help me with my picnic table... I complained and got a $50 gift card. It was a mix up between who was on break or not.

I had a large upright commercial grade freezer die on me 1 yr into the warranty.

I had called in for a repair the night before when it began making a really weird, loud noise and was told I would have to wait 2 weeks. don't think so, tim!
I called my local store and got the run around but after telling the manager on duty that I was about 2 minutes short of coming over there and standing in his appliance section to tell people don't buy from them because they don't honor their own warranties in a timely manner.... when the freezer shut down completely. I was really upset because I had it loaded w/ chickens that my son raised in FFA and were organic, their $200 food credit wouldn't cover 1/2 of just those alone no less everything else in there too.
My store has a great manager, and while it did take me playing some hardball (nicely but w/ force...)
They actually pulled a freezer from the sales floor, loaded it onto one of their trucks and let me drive it home, where I had a neighbor help unload it and we got all the food safely transferred before we lost it and then returned the truck.
The repair guy showed up the next day and asked about my "loaner" and said he had never ever in the past 20 yrs of working with Lowes seen or heard of them providing a loaner like that to anyone no less even supplying the truck to bring it to and from.
I had it for the entire 2 wks it took to get the part they needed and they came and picked it up when my freezer was back to normal.

Lowes now has a customer for life, I wouldn't even consider buying from anyone else.
