We'll be receiving a Wii system for Christmas (!). I wanted to take advantage of the Target B2G1Free Wii game sale this week, but I don't know what to choose. Any suggestions? My son is 4 and the whole game concept is brand new to him.

I doubt highly that MarioCart is one of the ones on sale, but I recommend it for a 4 year old. My 6 and 4 year old LOVE it...and does their daddy

Mater Nation is another favorite here!

It can depend so much on your son, my DS6 is great with computer and gaming stuff, DS3, not so much. By 3 the oldest was using the mouse on the computer, playing matching games, etc... youngest can't even work the mouse yet!
Anyway, just looking at the games I have, the Diego (and Dora) games would probably be a very safe bet. These are very simple, great for a little one starting out. I'm sure other characters for that age group would have similar games, just not sure which ones though. DS 6 loves the Acme Arsenal, watching him it seems like it's not too bad, but really not sure. He also absolutely loves any of the Lego ones, has Star Wars right now. They also don't seem to be too difficult but they are so worth the $$$$ 160 levels!!!! He has played both the older Ben 10 games and beat them in a day so I felt I wasted $$ on those... but then they may be a good one for your son, they must not be too hard. I'd think a racing game would be a good start too, like Pixars Cars, my boys like it too. We all like the Sports Resort, I'm hoping that's something DS3 can do more of when we get it (currently used SIL's copy).
Don't know if I helped you or not, but I tried Lots of luck, he'll have a blast with it whatever it is. It's a lot of fun.

I'm in love with Smash Brothers and Star Wars Lego, though those might be hard for your little one to play.

DS is 3. He plays the regular Wii Sports (that comes with the system.) The Wii Sports resort (LOVES the sword fight!) Mario Kart and some of the Wii Fit games. He needs help getting to the game still but the great thing about the Wii IMO is the fact that it's not just hitting buttons. It's a lot of moving the controller in different ways to get your Mii to do different things. It's a family game time during this age (not just sending them off to play on their own for hours.)
