I bought some color wonder stuff when it first came out and my kids really liked it. For Christmas they got the Dora set and the Cars set and the quality of the paper seems to be really poor. There aren't that many "hidden" pictures and some parts of the paper don't even show any color! Does anyone know if the quality of ALL the sets has gone down or maybe just the ones made with the licensed characters? TIA

I was disappointed with the Superman one my ds got for Christmas. He didn't like the colors of the markers that came with it. I really didn't like the color explosion one he got. You are right, the paper does seem to be of poor quality.

My kids just got a bunch for Christmas too, and after seeing your post I went and opened them up....here is what I found: The Licensed ones, Nick Jr (spongebob and Backyardigans) and one called Amusement park, is very, very thin flimsy paper, but the colors were fine (yes I colored a picture ) The color explosion (Black paper) is not, it is the same thick quality as the original color wonder books and paper...What's up with Crayola?

I wouldn't be surprised if they are making the licensed products cheaper in order to help offset the cost of the license.

The narrower ones in the blisterpaks are absolutely horrible. I've gotten bad paper, dried out markers, etc. The bigger ones in the foil pouches work better for us.
