Everything I had tried form the drug store washes out of the gray in only a few washes. The last time I just got highlights done at the salon and I love it. I just wish I could afford to get it done as often as I need it. The grey is not to bad so I can let it go for a while but as it gets worse I willl have to go more often. I told dh I didnt care if he had to get a second job, once the grey is noticable I am getting it done as often as it has to be done. In ony 29 and I would say I noticed the grey about two years ago.

I guess I have weird hair. Even if I use semi permanent color mine has to grow out. I have never put anything on my hair that washed out. Well, they make a color that you put on and it rinses out when you wash it the next time. That was OK till I would start sweating and it would run down on my face. What a mess!

Whatever you do be careful. I am also turning 30 this year and I just wanted a change. I really didn't have many gray hairs it's just that dh kept saying that I should go blond. Well last week I bought some Revlon Colorsilk that is supposed to change only about two shades. I was going for a dirty blond look nothing too drastic well my roots turned orange and the rest had a red tint to it. So I had the bright idea to buy a highlighting kit and just bleach the rest of my hair to blond. By the way not a good idea in fact it was stupid. Well it started burning my head so I got it off real quick and ended up with bright orange hair on top and light brown on bottom. Luckily with daily applying VO5 hot oil treatments and head and shoulders shampoo followed with White Rain conditioner it's slowly beginning to fade to the color of the rest of my hair. I did call a "professional" to see if she could fix it but she acted like a real b!%@h over the phone and told me to go to a different salon. So this was my first and possibly only attempt to change my hair color. I pray that my natural hair color will soon break thru if it can. I know one day maybe I can laugh at this. But not today. Not trying to steal your thread but if anyone reads this and has any "nice" advice I would appreciate it. By the way my natural hair color is med. brown.
