Hi,

I now have 2 toddlers and am considering a sit n stand so that the older can have a little more freedom and I'm tired of trying to get the double umbrella through doors. Do you have any recomendations for a particular brand or the style of stroller in general?

Thanks!

I went to a baby sotre it is called Buy Buy Baby, in NJ and they had the platform that you can attach to existing strollers that the second child can stand on, you might want to check that out.

Is it as long as a tandem or smaller like a single? That's my big concern.

I'm not sure about that one. Sorry. I think it's the same size as a regular stroller but I could be wrong.

I have one that is made by JOOVY. I love it but the only downfall is that it is heavy! My husband and I didn't think to try to pick it up before we registered for it. That would be my only suggestion when looking around, make sure you pick it up first.

We have a JOOVY and it is heavy. I pretty much only use to take the kids for walk around the neighborhood. If we do take it elsewhere, its usually b/c DH is with us and he can lift it. It is a good sit n stand stroller though.

I have tried the Joovy and the Babytrend sit-n-stand. The Joovy, borrowed from a friend, was really heavy and had storage on the bottom that was impossible to get things in and out of. The Babytrend was lighter and had much better storage- a parent tray on top and a side access basket on the bottom. It was lighter. I liked it and read good reviews, so I bought one.

The kids love it, but I have three issues with it:

1. It wheels great on a flat surface, but on any incline I have to *Fight* to keep it going straight. It's a workout. Works great at the mall but it's pain walking around the neighborhood.

2. Hard to fold up, plus I have to take the snack tray off to fit it in my car's trunk

3. As my kids have grown and gained weight, it's become harder and harder to push and turn. I bought mine when dd was 1 and ds had just turned 3. Now they are 2 and 4 and I don't use it anymore because it's just to hard to push around. You'd probably get a lot more wear out of it if you have skinny kids or start using it when one is a newborn.

The kids really do love it, though- it has been their favorite stroller. It gives you a lot of flexibility travelwise, and it's not that much bigger than a regular stroller

A friend of mine had the sit n stand - her ds fell off the seat in the back - so that's sort of turned me off of them.

Have you seen this one at walmart.com: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5030624

It looks like it folds smaller than my Graco single stroller.

I have the sit and stand, we like it, but Jared wants to walk now so I'm back to using a single.

BTW, it has a seat belt, if her son fell off it's her own fault for not strapping him in! It also has the safety strap for when they are standing!
