What kind do you have? How much was it? What accessories came with it? I am wanting to buy one to have when I work out. Just confused as to which brand I should buy. I also posted on the Product Talk forum but thought I would get more responses here.

DH is way into the mp3 scene and he uses it mainly while working out. The first one he had was a SanDisk Sansa 512 MB. I gave it to him for Christmas 2005. I think I paid somewhere between $60-$75 but it was on sale. He really liked it but decided to upgrade to an Ipod Nano this year. We got the 4GB model and it was $200 at BestBuy but we also got a free $25 gift card with it (Christmas promotion). HE LOVES IT! It is super easy to operate, sound quality is good, and I think he told me he has over 700 songs stored on it. (I don't think I even KNOW 700 songs.) If you get one, I'd recommend getting some kind of carrying/protective case or cover. I found one on eBay that is leather and has a belt clip and I paid less than $5 for it. The screen can get scratched easy so I wouldn't put this off. He also ended up buying another set of earbuds that would stay in his ears a little better while running on the treadmill. HTH!

I have a iPod that I like using for plane rides. I have all my music on there etc I have a small MP3 that I keep in my car for when I go walking, I change the music on it a lot because I just want about 20 songs and when I get sick of them, I just change the play list. I'm sure I could do something easy with my iPod but I'm afraid of dropping my iPod while walking, so I stick to my MP3 for walking. DH set up something in my car so I can listen to my iPod, my MP3 or even just flash drive/memory stick with music on it. I love that thing!

Can't help you with the costs, the iPod DH got as a corporate gift and gave to me. Both of my sons have iPod Nanos and they were running about $180 when we bought them, I think they're even cheaper now. Before they had Nanos they had MP3's that we got at Best Buy for about $50 each. There is a really wide range of prices out there, you're sure to find something in your price range that does what you'd like.

Happy shopping!

I have the apple ipod shuffle and love it. It was a gift from my mom and she got it as a freebie and I bought a refurbished one from apple.com for my neice for christmas and she really likes hers. Although dh has one from walmart, don't know the brand and he likes his too.
