Do any of you own those 3 in 1 machines, the ones that have a copier/printer/scanner all in one? Walmart has a sale on an HP 3 in1 machine for $69.99 and i would love to get one,but i don't know enough about them. Are the ink cartridges reasonable to replace,or are they more expense than just a regular single printer?
I would love to scan pictures to post since we do not have a digital camera, and it would be nice to make copies of papers here at home instead of having to run to the library or bank to do it. Whats a good brand?

I just bought ink for my 3 in 1 printer which is a hp. I got it at Sam's and paid 72.00! Which is better they buying ink individually which can go for 35.00 a piece. At Sam's you get 1 black & 2 color cartridges. If I bought 3 cartridges individulal it would have almost cost me 100.00.

YIKES!!! I am not a member of Sam's club, so maybe i should probably just consider buying a scanner and keep my printer that i have already?

Check out quill.com too for good prices on ink cartridges. I own a 3 in 1 machine and love the possibilites of it. Suggestion though, your pictures will never be as good of a quality if you scan them in. I would suggest wherever you get your pictures developed to have them put the pictures on disk. It will cost about $2.50-$3, but worth it!!
Good Luck!!

I hate buying combination appliances. If one component goes out the whole item is sort of trash. However, I LOVE out HP combination printers. We have more than one model. The one I primarly use for office work has a flat bed top for scanning and copying. How did people live without a copier in their home? That one little device was rather revolutionary for us.

We do price out the ink cartridges before making a final decision on which model to buy.
