Fisher-Price Recalls “Laugh and Learn” Bunny Toys Due to Choking Hazard

http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07105.html

My daughter has the puppy, fortunately and loves it. I was considering the bunny. Glad I didn't get it!

Thanks for the info, my 8 month old daughter has the bunny and I took it away as soon as I read the recall. Again, another reason I LOVE this website. Thanks again

That is the 2nd thing from the Laugh and Learn line that I have heard of being recalled. The other was the little table connected to the chair. Children were getting their heads caught in the space between the chair and table. Geesh ....

Fisher Price is good at recalling things when they see a problem, and they are one of the better lines, IMO. I was in Target today and saw this toy is back on the shelf with the new nose - it's basically embroidered on the tip now. It's still cute!

But yeah, you would think their engineers would ensure safety and even do some good kid testing!

part of process of letting a product go to production is the cost of liablity. If it will cost more to change protocol than send it to production. dh is an engineer and he has worked on a product he knew would get a recall, but the cost was too great to pull the product before it went to the stores. Nice isn't it.
