Floam's ingredients include polystyrene (plastic) beads. Nobody knows what the rest of the product contains because the company won't release an ingredient list. The label says "non-toxic" but how can we know that for sure? The stuff sure smells toxic. And if you can smell or taste plastic in something, you are probably being exposed to phylates. Kids playing with Floam will be absorbing the ingredients through the skin on their hands.

I'd make sure my child washes hands thoroughly after playing with Floam. Actually, with everything I know about the dangers of plastics (especially those that are not food-grade) I won't let my child play with it at all.
