Does anyone NOT like their Dyson vacuum? Consumer Reports basically trashed it before, saying it wasn't worth the high price, but lately, it has had a bit better reviews.

This Bissell I have isn't going to stay - it's bagless, and I don't like that - there is dust all around the canister, even before opening it, and the dust doesn't empty completely, and then there's dust in the air from emptying - even w/the trash bag closed. Why bother? Anyway, everyone here seems to like their Dyson - I'm tossed up between that and the Wind Tunnel (higher end).....?

I owned a higher end Wind Tunnel, which I purchased based on Consumer Reports reviews. It clogged within 2 years and I ended up owning a Dyson Animal Ball.

I grew up with CR and I very much believe in what they do. They do have biases, though. The Dyson has become a proven product and I think CR is starting to see that.

I am glad you made this post - I am in the market for a Vac and it is so confusing!!! I have heard really good things about Dyson but I have to admit the price is alittle shocking to me. ANd then consumer reports does not report well on them. I just don't know what to do!!!

I love love love mine. But I buy all of our stuff at 1 place. So here's my hint. I get the "open" discount when I do just because it's commission and they want the sale. (I walk in and say I have xxx$ to spend \BUT I WANT this. They work with me each time! I got mine (dyson) brand new (not refurbed) for 300 which was half off.

My Dad has both the Dyson and a Windtunnel. He seems to go back and forth between which one he likes the best. He loved the Dyson for awhile and ended up going back to the Windtunnel for awhile because he said the Dyson wasn't cleaning as well as it used to. Then when it came time to replace the Hepa filter in his Windtunnel and he found out how much it was going to cost him to replace it, he went back to the Dyson. As far as I know he's still with the Dyson and likes it just fine. It's like a really bad love affair !

Love my Dyson, but it is heavy. I also love my Oreck. That is what I truck to the upper & lower levels. Both pick up great.

I just ordered a dyson animal ball, so I'm hoping that it will be as great as I've heard it is. I have 3 large-breed shedding dogs and my extremely long hair plus our fireplace that contributes to a ton of dust/ash around the place, so my fingers are crossed.
