And on the subject of poisonings:

Remember that the old Ipecac Syrup or Syrup of Ipecac is no longer recommended by Poison Control. I, personally, keep it on hand, in case they tell me to use it, but the new guidelines do not recommend it.

Remember to keep baby oil and baby powder away from your kids. If ingested, both can make them very ill; if inhaled, it could be lethal (kids can easily aspirate these two items), as both block the lungs as pneumonia can.

Many people were using Ipecac incorrectly so they stopped recommending it. However, I do keep charcoal powder onhand. I wouldn't use either unless told to by the poison control hotline.
