Does anyone use this thing? I have a 14mos old and a 3 yr old and no fenced in yard. I heard that supergates can be connected to each other to make it bigger if needed. I'm already having a prob. with being outside and chasing after the 3 year old and needed to harness the baby...

suggestions before i drop some cash?

I have one. I tried using it one year outside while doing the garden and since it doesn't have a bottom my then baby, kept eating the grass and dirt. So I ended up just using the regular playpen. But the supergate is now used around the christmas tree which is GREAT!!! Your 3 yr old would be able to push it. I have a 4 yr old and a 16month old. They both will dig in the dirt which keep them together in my 2 acre not fenced in yard. So we will probably get a sand box. I will bring the play pen out for the baby when I work in the garden.

We use ours around the Christmas tree and it has been a lifesaver. We have also used it quite successfully indoors in other capacities as well (hooked together as it's intended and as sort of a baby gate to block off the area by the stairs). Mommyandwifeisme made some good points about potential difficulties outdoors though and I would tend to agree that a three year old may not be well contained as it is possible for a child that size to push it. My older son is 3 1/2 and I have no doubt that he could get out of it.

My 19 month old can climb right out of that thing, so depending on how adventurous your little one is, it might not last you very long. But I know you plan on having more kids so you can use it with the itty bitties later on. I wanted to use it around the Christmas tree but dh wouldn't let me because he said it is too ugly.
