We just bought a Dirt Devil Reaction on Saturday. We needed a new vacuum and wanted a Dyson, but didn't have the $ to spend on it. It has the same type of technology with cyclonic suction and is bagless. I crushed up crackers and stomped them into the rug just to try it -- it's SO NICE! It's about the same weight and size of the Dyson. Here's a link for it: Dirt Devil Reaction The best part? It's only $159! And it has a 4 year warranty on it -- pretty good for the price. Aside from the Dyson, I haven't seen a vacuum with more than a 2 year warranty on it.

*I just saw it online at Target.com for $149 -- I got mine at Home Depot, and paid $10 more.

WOW! I just may go get one! I recently spent a small fortune ($250) on a hoover wind tunnel and am not thrilled. Thanks for the review on this.

Wow--that's good to know! I agree...please let us know in a few months if it is still working so well. I bought a bissel recently that actually pulled fuzzballs from a few inches away (via its great suction), but now its filters get clogged and I have to remove & wash all 4--yes, 4- of them every other time I vacuum! UGH.

If yours has no bags or filters--it should remain as Dysonriffic as it sounds!!!!

Thanks so much for this review. We are looking for a new vacuum and found this one at Target and on their site for $149. I really wanted a Dyson and dh told me not a chance. We have a dog, a cat and 2 boys and was hoping to find something that kept up with the crumbs and fur. My dh loves the idea of no filter and we both want another bagless one. I heard that this one is as good as a Dyson but good to know how much someone on here likes it! This is the one we'll be getting then.

This is the best vacuum! I just got it yesterday and couldn't wait to try it out. Boy the stuff it gets up out of the carpet and we've only been in this house a week. I had no idea there was that much stuff in the carpet already! It is definitely worth the $149 I paid at Target. It's very easy to dump out the dirt and it is not messy, doesn't go up in a cloud of dust. It's not heavy and easy to push and not as loud as I thought it would be. I love it!
