I was the self-proclaimed Queen of Swiffer...I even erected what I called the Tower of Swiffer in my broom closet. It included 4 plastic bins filled with the Swiffer wet cloths, the dry cloths, the dusters and the hand-shaped dusting cloth.

Then, I got tired of paying $ 12.00 per box for refills. And getting a new plastic duster wand everytime I bought duster refills.

I bought 2 microfiber cloths & attached them to the sweeper(s)--they're machine washable and work just as well.

I have hardwood floors on my first floor, so I use Vinegar Wet cloths to "mop." No more Swiffer products for me!!!

Has anyone else defected?

I have not defected. I have 3 dogs....one of which is shedding at any one time. I have cut back on using them though. I use a cheap canister vac to vaccuum up most of the hair and crumbs and touch up with a cloth. Then I use 1 cloth instead of 2-3 on my kitchen and other rooms.

I have started using a Wet Jet recently. I have large grout lines (3/4 inch) in my kitchen and they tear up most of my mops to fast so I use a wet jet and have not had a problem. Has any one noticed that the Wet Jet Pads look like Always pads on the top....never thought women's health supply technology would be used for cleaning

I use the swiffer wet, and the dusters and they are expensive, I am starting to deflect a little though my hubby just bought me a Shark Steam Cleaner and I use it occasionally on the floors.
