I learned something new. You know how some people go to McDonald's each week to get the Happy Meal Toys? They work so hard to collect the entire set, and worry about which restaurants have which toy. You don't have to do that!! You can just stop in at any McDonald's and ask for the entire set. They have them in the back! Someone came in the other day and ordered the whole set of Wizard of Oz dolls, and it cost just less than $16. Now, don't get me wrong, I think that is WAY TOO MUCH to spend on those things, but I just thought I'd let you guys know in case anyone here is a collector.

It depends on the location. I've tried. Often, I am told they won't open the next box until they need to. They won't go in the back. Then, I am told that the next truck, telling me which day it will come in, may have the next item on it.
It also depends on the attitude of the employee and the management.
Hey, how often do they clean the climbing equipment in yours? Have they given you that task yet? They need to put knee pads on some young, energetic thing and have them scrub away - hiring a cleaning service would be best.

We don't have a play area in the one I work at. I knew that was a hot topic a while back. I just steered away from commenting on it. I have my own opinions about that.
At our McDonald's, they have filled salad bags with the entire set of toys. If your local one doesn't, keep trying other McDonald's. If someone really wants them, I could offer to get them for you if you pay for the toys and shipping.

I noticed someone on the Barter board (Tink maybe?) was looking for the witches. I have them and they are sooo cute, and I am not into Madame Alexander!

Our McD's doesn't do that either. I don;t usually get frantic over toys, but am really excited about the Wizard of Oz dolls!! Hopefully all my trades on the board will go through and I will have been able to get an set for my girls and one to stash away for me in my collectors bin. For some reason I love them!! Maybe b/c I grew up in Kansas.
Thanks for the info- maybe I'll try another McD's and see if they'll sell the set:>)

I have a new question for you, Ms. Seer of the McD!
Every year, we look forward to the mint shake on St. Patty's day....at 5am the name slipped from my brain. Our local McD's didn't have it this year!! They also missed the eggnog one before - this is more than one location. Any idea what gives there? Did you guys have it? I think eggnog would be good for Easter, too!!
And, will you read my posts on the bully in Special Needs, please? I want a teacher point of view - you may be avoiding me on it, but I really want to know, because I just love his teacher, and it's really a tough situation. My child's health is very important, though, obviously!

It's the Shamrock Shake! We still have it. Apparently, we'll keep it till we run out. I have no idea how they decide what shake they get or when they change it. I heard our next one is the Arctic Shake, which is orange colored. Not sure of the flavor.

I've been "retired" from McD's for 10 years now (wow!). Anyway, when I was there, we got out happy meal supplies in batches, maybe toy 1 and 2 one week, 3&4 the next, etc.
I think the Artic Shake is orange, my friend would say it tastes like baby asprin!
